Carrot & Parsnip Vegetable Fries

These Air Fry Style Carrot and Parsnip Fries by Chef Shellie Froidevaux are the perfect accompaniment for your classic Sunday roast. Roasted in the Panasonic NN-CS89L 4-in-1 Convection Microwave Oven, this recipe uses a dukkah spice mix instead of salt to help elevate the earthy profile of these root vegetables.

Ingredients

  • 2 medium sized carrots
  • 2 medium sized parsnips
  • 2 tbsp dukkah spice
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil

Instructions

  • Trim the carrots and parsnips and cut into chunky chip shapes. Toss chips with dukkah and vegetable oil to coat thoroughly. Spread evenly on the metal Grill Tray and place in the middle shelf position.
  • On the NN-CS89L press the Auto Menu 28, Vegetable Fries and dial in 500g. The oven will prompt you when to give the chips a flip or turn them over with cooking tongs.
  • Return to oven and press Start to cook for remainder of time.
  • Place hot chips into a serving dish for sharing.
