Single-Serve Dutch Baby Pancake

Say hello to your new favourite brunch – a Single-Serve Dutch Baby Pancake with golden edges, a custardy centre, and that perfect rise thanks to the Panasonic NN-CD88QS Air Fry Convection Microwave.

Ingredients

  • 1 Egg
  • 1/4 cup Full cream or light milk
  • 1/4 cup Plain flour
  • 1 tsp Vanilla essence generously
  • 2 tsp Sugar
  • A pinch of salt
  • 1/2 tbsp of salted butter

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 200°C (425°F.)
  • In a bowl, whisk together the egg, vanilla, sugar, milk, and salt until it’s super smooth and silky.
  • Sift in your flour and whisk until combined and there are no lumps. Set aside in fridge.
  • Add 1/2 tablespoon of butter to your dish until the butter melts (approx 1 minute). Carefully take your hot dish out of the oven once melted and swirl it around so the whole bottom and sides are coated.
  • Pour your whisked batter into the buttered dish and pop it straight back into the oven, then bake for 10-15 mins, or until it’s puffed up and golden brown around the edges. (tip, if you want a thicker pancake, use a similar sized dish, or if you’d like a thinner one, use a wider dish!)
  • Top with your condiments of choice, then sprinkled it with powdered sugar - but any fruit or condiments are lovely.
